Wrath of God
As you already know if you've read through my many posts on religion, I don't really believe in a punitive Hell. If you think that frees me from fear of God, though, you'd better think again. No, I live in constant, trembling horror of the threat in the Parable of the Talents. I wonder if I'm alone in this.

Nope, you're not alone. I'm curious to hear how you define "outer darkness." Elaborate, please. :o)
_____
Word ver: typhitto
Definition: A rare form of typhus, causing the stricken individual to engage in extreme forms of graffiti art.
It might be time for me to do another post on my take on the afterlife. I don't know if I ever came to a clear conclusion in my old rambling, before this blog turned into a diary.
The short answer, though, is that I think the "outer darkness" is what Corin called "shadows" and what Milton called "Oberon's dominion" -- the empty chaos from which we build our private kingdoms.
I'm more afraid of him taking away my one talent, though, and giving it to Brad Pitt. That dude don't need it.
I would like to read a lengthier post on your take on the afterlife. What you say about Corin's shadows and Milton's Oberon resonates with me--but on a level I can't quite articulate yet. But I bet you could/can.
I don't think God is going to give anything of yours to Brad Pitt.
